13Use every piece of God’s armor to resist the
enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing
firm. 14Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and
the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15For shoes, put on the peace
that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared.
16In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the
fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. 17Put on salvation as your
helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

spiritual growth
As
soon as you begin to live the life of faith in God, fascinating and physically
gratifying possibilities will open up before you. These things are yours by right, but if
you are living the life of faith you will exercise your right to waive your
rights, and let God make your choice for you.
Whenever our right becomes the
guiding factor of our lives, it dulls our spiritual insight.
The
greatest
enemy of the life of faith in God is not sin, but good choices which are not
quite good enough.
Many of us do not continue to grow
spiritually because we prefer to choose on the basis of our rights, instead of
relying on God to make the choice for us.
We have to learn to walk according to the standard which has its eyes focused on God. And God says to us, as he did to Abram,
. . . walk before me . . .” (Genesis 17:1).
Have a blessed month.

What God requires God Provides
In Prayer, God hears more than just words – H listen to your
heart.
Living for Jesus is not part-time job.
A Christian on fire for God will draw others to the
light.
He is truly wise who submits to God’s Wisdom.
It’s never too soon to invest in eternity.
Those who walk with God always find closer at hand.

Just You and Me God
BY jUANITA pIKE
I have a little sign on top of my computer that says "Lord , help me to remember that nothing is going to happen to me today , that You and I can't handle" .
We are soon entering a new year , 2001 . As God's people and as a nation , it is unknown land . We have not passed this way before . But as God's people , we know whatever the year holds , it is us and our God . Others can pray for us and with us , encourage us , but at the end of the day , it is just us and God .
Noah was chosen in his generation to do a work for God . God saw a righteous man in a wicked world. God still sees the righteous in a wicked world . It is them and their God against the wickedness of the world . Genesis 6 - 8
Abraham sought God not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah . God said "if you find some righteous , I will not destroy the cities" . Abraham was an intercessor for the wicked cities , just him and God . Genesis 18
Even though God sent Hagar into the wilderness , His eye was upon her and Ishmael . Genesis 16 : 10 - 11 . Friend , you may think you are in a wilderness , but remember God's eye is watching over you .
You are not alone , He knows all that is happening in your life . The weeping of a broken and troubled spirit , He knows . His eye was upon Israel for 40 years in the wilderness . Genesis 21 Exodus 14
Abraham was alone when God saw he was willing to give
his all to God . Many have made vows in the presence of man and never carried
them out . It is the vows we make in the Holy Presence of our God , alone and in
the secret place of prayer and fellowship with Him , that truly counts . This is
what He remembers about our vows . Ecclesiastes 5 Joseph like Job ,
had things happen to him , that they did not understand . But we know from God's
Word , He was working in their lives . We as Blood Washed Saints of God , are
not our own , we have
been bought with a price no man can count . All God is
wanting to hear is "yes Lord , just You and me" .
Moses was chosen for a task that only could be guided by God . Moses had no one to lean on , but God . It was Moses and God , and that was enough .
Joshua had some big shoes to fill when he was called by God . When there was sin in the camp, Joshua went before God for an answer . Just him and his God , Joshua 7.
When all was saying "it is impossible" , Caleb stood
and said "it is You and me God" . God had promised and Caleb believed Him . It
is God's Word in our spirit that counts , Joshua 14. A warrior stood his
ground and he and God won the victory , 1 Samuel 23 : 8 - 12 . It is you
and God alone in every battle . He has given us "battle gear" , Ephesians 6 . It
is faith in God that puts that "battle gear"
into action . A faith that holds
fast in the midst of ever battle , saying "it is just You and me God"
.
Hannah , sought God for herself . Man did not understand her , but her God did . Man is not always merciful when needs are breaking the heart , for they cannot always understand . But friend , we have a God that is merciful in whatever need we have . She sought God alone , just her and her God . 1 Samuel 1
Then there is Ruth , Nehemiah , Esther , Elijah , Hezekiah , David , Daniel , 3 Hebrews and many more . They had one thing in common , they bowed before their God , just them and Him .
In Acts , we see people in the upper room getting a fresh revelation of Jesus and was filled with the promise of the Father , the Holy Spirit , Acts 1 - 2. They feared nothing , they knew their God . It was them and their God against the evils of the world . Those people were not religious , they had come face to face with their God . Just them and their living God .
Paul knew what it was to bow before his God in all kinds of trouble . He received revelations that feed the Body of Christ today . All because he and God got together by the Holy Spirit . We must remember, these Saints of God in the past , was flesh and blood as we are . They knew that in all they did , it was them and their God .
At my spiritual birth , it was "Me and my God"
At my death , it will be "Me and my God"
At the judgment , it will be "Me and my God"

COMMITMENT
The pressure of hard places makes us value life. Every time
our life is given back to us from such a trial, it is like a new beginning, and
we learn better how much it is worth, a make more of it for God and man. The pressure helps us to understand the
trials of others, and fits us to help and sympathize with them.
There is a shallow, superficial nature, that gets hold of a theory or a
promise lightly and talks very glibly about the distrust of those who shrink
from every trial; but the man or woman who has suffered much never does this,
but is very tender and gentle, and knows what suffering really means.
Trials and hard places are
needed to press us forward, even as the furnace fires press us forward, even as
the furnace fires in the hold of that mighty ship give force that moves the
piston, drives the engine, and propels that great vessel across the sea in the
face of the winds and waves.

One little act of kindness can have multiple results.
Money is a good servant , but poor a master.
Keep your eyes on the Lord – He never takes His eyes off

Time spent with the Lord is time well spent.
In changing world you can trust God’s unchanging word.
The more we serve Christ, the less we will serve self.
Failure is never final for those who begin again with God.

Drawing
Spirit
by Juanita Pike
John 12 : 32 If I be lifted up from
earth , I will draw all men unto Me . I heard a statement that has
troubled me very much . A person said "if I am in a gathering and I hear someone
say "I am a Christian" , this person said "I will excuse myself from that
gathering" . The question is "Why" ? They replied "I have seen arrogance and
self righteousness among those who claim to be Christians and I want no part of
it" .
This
disturbed me and I asked the Holy Spirit for an answer . He quickly reminded me
what Jesus said "if I be lifted up" . The Holy Spirit said "the only power that
can draw souls to Jesus , is the Power of Divine Love" . Just
saying we believe in Jesus and expressing our beliefs , does not draw souls to
Him . Jesus walked among mankind , teaching and doing the works of His Father .
He came against a Pharisee spirit among religious folks . He came against those
who had no belief at all .
It was the Power of Divine Love He
had that drew huge crowds . They came to hear Him teach and see the mighty works
of God . That Love was humble , merciful , compassionate , full of grace
and forgiveness . It was that Power that drew souls to Jesus and it is still
that only Power that will draw souls to Him in the 21st century
.
Those who have a
"deep seated" experience in Jesus , can minister to souls without driving them
away . Spiritual arrogance or an attitude of self-righteousness , is not God's
Divine Love . I too have experienced a "holier than thou" spirit among folks
that differ with me .
I am a Child of God by the Blood of
Jesus as stated in John 3 : 5 - 8 . The in filling of the Holy Spirit as
promised in Acts 1 and full filled in Acts 2 . Which is not a church doctrine
but an experience with a Living God . I speak with what some call an unknown
tongue , but it is only unknown by man . The Father , Son and the Holy Spirit
knows the spirit language well . I have the Word of God alive in my spirit and
it keeps me day by day . It is the Blood of Jesus that redeems a soul
.
I know that all
believers do not embrace this belief . I have not , nor will I ever tell others
"I am right and you are wrong" . That is the ministry of the Holy Spirit of God
to reveal the Truth . I have no power to get inside the spirit of mankind to
plant the Word of God , but He does . Jesus sat down with what mankind considers
the worse sinners . He never attacked those who differed with His teaching . He
did what the Father instructed Him to do , all in the Divine Love of God
.
I feel so deeply
about how we minister to a lost and dying world . May the spirit of God show us
this , "IT IS NOT what we say BUT it is WHAT the Spirit of God says through us,
that counts" . It is the Love of God in a redeemed vessel that draws souls to Jesus
.
There was a
minister that got up to preach and a weeping spirit came over Him . He laid his
head on the Bible and wept in the Spirit and the altar was filled with people ,
with all kinds of needs . The drawing Power of God's Love used him for God's
Glory . God needed no human voice to speak for Him , all He needed was a broken
spirit .
The Spirit
of God taught me many years ago , hardness is not holiness , nor is the Divine
Love of God weakness . God's People have within their spiritual reach , a Power
that can turn the world upside down and a church upside down . A soft , tender
and loving spirit will cause souls to want Him , the King of Kings , Jesus
Christ .
There will
always be those who disagree in the family of God just like there is
disagreement in the natural family . But we must teach , preach and minister our
"deep seated" beliefs in the Power of God's Love . Then souls will be drawn to
Him and those who never come to Him as their Savior , cannot say "no one showed
me the Divine Love of God" . Please read and reread 1 Corinthians 13
.

There are secrets of providence, which God’s dear children may
learn. His dealings with them often
seem, to the outward eye, dark and terrible. Faith looks deeper and says, “This is
God’s secret. You look only on the
outside; I can look deeper and see the hidden meaning.”
Sometimes diamonds are done up in rough packages, so that their value
cannot be seen. When the tabernacle
was built in the wilderness there was nothing rich in its outside
appearance. The costly things were
all within, and its outward covering of rough badger skin gave no hint of the
valuable things, which it contained.
God may
send you, dear friends, some costly packages. Do not worry if they are done up in
rough wrapping. You may be sure
there are treasures of love, and kindness and wisdom hidden within. If we take what He sends, and trust Him
for the goodness in it, even in the dark, we shall learn the meaning of the
secrets of providence.
Derivational Thoughts for on Commitment by A.B Simpson
One Moment - Please
That awful moment of truth is when we are confronted with facts, which we have tried to, but no longer can, deny. For instance: life is short and we fail to lengthen it. Death is sure and we fail to avoid it. Sin, the cause, and we fail to overcome it. Christ , the cure, and we fail to accept it. To avoid that awful moment of truth, make this moment a moment of triumph. If you accept the cure, you will be forgiven your sin; you will have eternal life. “the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23)
Face
that moment of truth
now.

PRAYER
Start spring out right; devote yourself to
praying daily !
Remember there certain laws that govern
prayer first:
1. Prayer must be done in Jesus’ name (John 14:13)
2. In faith (Matthew 21:22)
3. According to God’s will (1 John 5:14)
4. With sincerity and earnestness (Matthew 7: 7-11)
5.
Sin in the heart is a hindrance to prayer (Psalms 66:18), as us disunity
(1 Peter 3:7), and asking with wrong motives ( James 4:3)
Second, God does use human instruments and means for healing:
Third , several in apostolic times were not miraculously healed.
1. Paul sought healing, but God was not please to grant it (2 Corinthians 12:7-10).
2. Trophimus was not healed (2 Timothy 4:20)
3.
When our Lord was at the pool of Bethesda, He chose to heal only one,
though there was a multitude of sick and diseased people awaiting healing (John 5:2-9)
Fourth, God often allows sickness that through it He might be
glorified.
1.
That was the case with the blind man (John 9:3) and with the apostle Paul
(2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
I urge you today to start to take time out to pray. Join a prayer group in your church, it is the most uplifting feeling when you pray for others in your church. Or join a prayer ministry on the Internet such as Let Us Pray 4 U Ministry. If you would like to join my prayer ministry, send me a email saying I would like to be a Prayer Warrior. Send the request top mailto:Pray.Without.Ceasing@letuspray4u.org and I will add you to my list of Prayer Warriors. As soon as receive prayer I’ll send them to you. I have been in prayer ministry for about 7 years now and I tell you that God has blessed me and my family in many ways. So don’t delay another day without daily prayer.

You can ask for anything in my
name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father.
(John 14:13)
If you believe, you will receive
whatever you ask for in prayer.”
(Matthew 21:22)
And we can be confident that he will listen
to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. (1 John 5:14)
7 “Keep on asking, and you will be given
what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the
door will be opened. 8For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who
seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks.
9 You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you
give them a stone instead? 10Or if they ask for a fish, do you give
them a snake? Of course not! 11If you sinful people know how to give
good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good
gifts to those who ask him.
(Matthew 7:7-11)
If I had not
confessed the sin in my heart, my Lord would not have listened. (Psalm 66:18)
In the same way, you husbands must
give honor to your wives. Treat her with understanding as you live together. She
may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new
life. If you don’t treat her as you should, your prayers will not be heard. (1 Peter 3:7)
And even when you do ask, you don’t get it
because your whole motive is wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.
(James 4:3)
Dear Doctor Luke sends his greetings, and so
does Demas. (Colossian 4:14)
Don’t drink only water. You ought
to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so
often. (1 Timothy 5:23)
Erastus stayed at Corinth, and I
left Trophimus sick at Miletus. (2
Timothy 4:20)
Inside the city, near the Sheep
Gate, was the pool of Bethesda, with five covered porches. 3Crowds of
sick people—blind, lame, or paralyzed—lay on the porches. 5One of the
men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him and knew how long he had been ill, he
asked him, “Would you like to get well?”7“I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I
have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am
trying to get there, someone else always gets in ahead of
me.”8 _ Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your
sleeping mat, and walk!”
9Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up the mat and began
walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath day. (John 5:2-9)
“It was not because of his sins or
his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “He was born blind so the power of God could
be seen in him. (John
9:3)
Each time he said, “My gracious
favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness.” So now I am glad
to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me.
10 Since I know it is all for Christ’s good, I am quite
content with my weaknesses and with insults, hardships, persecutions, and
calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

JOY
The joy of the Lord is your
strength. Where do the saints get
their joy? If we did not know some
Christians well, we might think from just observing them that they have no
burdens al all to bear. But we must
lift the veil from our eyes. The
fact that the peace, light, and joy of God is in them is proof that a burden is
there as well.
The burden that God places on us
squeezes the grapes in our lives and produces the wine, but most of us see only
the wine and the burden. No power
on earth or in hell can conquer the Spirit of God living within the human
spirit; it creates and inn invincibility.
If your life is producing only a whine, instead of the wine, then
ruthlessly kick it out. It is
definitely a crime for a Christian to be weak in God’s strength.

spiritual . When the loads of life begin to bury us spiritually , there is
Someone who will help us . Jesus said "bring Me your broken spirit and I will
wipe away the tears . I will pour Heavenly Oil and wine on your broken spirit
and body" . Some of the loads of life
that
can crush us , if we do not let God lift them .
A. Sickness that seems to have no end . My husband had Alzheimer's for 7 years
before I knew what I was dealing with . It worked very slow . God was faithful
all those years , as well as the years after I found out what was wrong . So
many times the load got so heavy , I would fall at Jesus feet and just weep .
Then in His Mercy He would help me go a little further . Sickness is a load that
makes us feel helpless , because we have no control over it .
B. When children , for whatever reason cause us to have a heavy heart . The Holy
Ghost will and has through the years lifted many a crushing load that Mom and
Dad carried for their own . The loads will return , but Jesus will give relief
each time , when we come to Him .
C. Death will crush us with grief , when it enters our life . But then the Holy
Ghost comes with God's Blanket of Mercy and lays it around our soul and spirit .
Then a Peace , we cannot understand floods our soul and spirit .
D. Homes carries heavy loads with all the responsibilities that come with
keeping a home
up .
But the load gets lighter when we embrace the promise in Matthew 6 : 25 - 34
.
These thoughts came from the Holy Ghost as I took one of God's Own to His Throne
. She is carrying a load for an aged parent . That child of God is Pat Hamilton
. But the Holy Ghost let me know there are many carrying heavy loads . Why ?
Because that is part of life . My Friends , God fully understands ever load you
carry and will supply whatever you need to carry it . Just ask Him to help
.
Jesus is standing by to help you . I cannot tell you , in the years I walked in
the "land of the unknown sickness and in the land of the known sickness" , that
I cried out to Him . Many a time I have raised my hands and said "Jesus , I have
carried this load as far as I can , please help me" . Some times the load gets
so heavy and last so long that we run out of words to pray . That is when we get
into a spirit of Praise and Worship . These two spiritual weapons are the most
powerful we have and Satan does not know how to come against them , for they
lead us into the Holy Presence of God .
Pat and all others who are carrying heavy loads that are crushing you . Just
lift your hands in Praise and Worship and He will "blow the Heavenly Wind of the
Holy Ghost" under you "spiritual wings" and help you with your load . There is
not a tear He has not seen . We may get weak , tired and worn but if we put our
spirit in His Spirit , He will lift us above the load .

My son,
if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2turning your ear to wisdom and applying
your heart to understanding, 3and if
you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4and if
you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5then you will understand the fear of the

LORD gives
wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:1-6

WISDOM
Wherein does true wisdom consist? Where I to ask some of you, perhaps you
would say, true wisdom consisted in adding house to house, and field to field,
and calling lands after their own names:
but this cannot be true wisdom; for riches often take to themselves
wings, and fly away.
Perhaps you place wisdom in the knowledge of books: but learned men are not always
wise. To keep you therefore no
longer in suspense, I will send you to a heathen to learn what true wisdom
is: “Know thyself,” was a saying of
one of the wise men of Greece; this is certainly true wisdom, and this is that
wisdom spoken of in (1 Corinthians 1:30), and which Jesus Christ is made to all
elect sinners—they are made to know themselves, so as not to think more highly
of themselves than they out to think.
Before, they were darkness; now, they are light in the Lord. They now see that all their
righteousness are but as filthy rags.
That there is no name given under heaven, whereby they can be saved, but
that of Jesus Christ, thus Christ is made to them wisdom.

FAITHFULNESS
Want of
trust is at the root of almost all our sins and our weaknesses. How shall we escape it but by looking to
him and observing his faithfulness?
The man who holds god’s faithfulness will not be fool - hardy or
reckless, but he will be ready for every emergency. Abraham held God’s faithfulness and
offered up Isaac, “accounting that
God was able to raise him . . .the dead” (Hebrews 11:19, KJV). Moses held God’s faithfulness and led
the millions of Israel into the howling wilderness. “And what shall I more say? For the time would fail me to tell” of
those who, holding God’s faithfulness, had faith and by it “subdued kingdoms,
wrought righteousness, obtained promises . . .
out of
weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies
of the aliens” (11:33-34, KJV).
Satan, too, has his creed:
Doubt God’s faithfulness.
“Hath God said? Are you not
mistaken as to his commands?” How
constantly, and alas, how successfully are such arguments used to prevent
wholehearted trust in God! All
God’s giants have been weak men, who did great things for God because they
reckoned on his being with them.

Take Time to Pray
There are those times I stumble,
. . . Times I
fear I’ve lost my way.
It is then I seek the Master,
It is then I stop to pray
I know out father guides us;
If we listen He’ll convey
His comfort and compassion,
If we take time to pray.
Look around you, see the beauty
And the love that fill each day –
Then if trouble comes, look upward,
Find a little time to pray.

The Last Word
By Juanita Pike 6 - 2001
You may be standing at a
"red sea" in your life and all the powers of hell pushing at your back . Child
of God , hold fast , God has the last word concerning any of our "red sea"
experiences , Exodus 14 : 13 - 18
.
You
may feel you are "walled in" and cannot get out . Let me tell you , our God has
the last word on "walls" . No matter what they are , God has the last word and
will bring them down .
You
may be facing "rivers and fires" in life and may feel you are going to "drown or
burn" . Child of God , God has the last word on that , Isaiah 43 : 2
.
When
religion hung Jesus on the cross and put Him in the tomb . He rose from the dead
, God had the last word , John 20 . Jesus will live forever more , as promised
and all who except Him as Savior will also live forever more , Revelation 1 : 18
.
When
Jesus walked among the people as God's Son , ministering to untold numbers of
needs , God had the last word . He sent His Son to "work the works" of the
Father , John 6 : 29 . John 10 : 25
John 14 : 12
.
When
Jesus promised He would return , John 14 : 1 - 6 also 1 Thess. 4 : 13 - 18 .
God's word tells us there will be those who doubt the promise of His coming , 2
Peter 3 : 4 . Friend , God will have the last word , He will send Jesus again to
gather the Bride of Christ and He will step on Mount Olive , at the Second
Coming , Acts 1 : 10 - 11 .
Man
may not take prophecy serious , they may make plans just as they desire , but
friend , God will have the last word in all the affairs of this world . What He
has promised in His word , will come too pass and no man or power can stop the
last word of God!!!
We may
pray many prayers and our faith may even waver . But God has promised to hear
the cry of the human race , if it is for forgiveness or for help , Exodus 3 : 7
. He has the last word on our cry to Him .
Hold
fast to what God has promised , Revelation 3 : 11 , do not let go . Your living
God is in control and He has the last word . So what ever may be happening in
your life , when God says
"enough is enough" , the
last word has been spoken . He knows where His own are and He knows the needs of
each one . Remember His word is power and when He speaks , it takes over
everything in our life . All we need to do is "hold fast to His promises" .
Hebrew 4 : 12 Psalms 62 : 11 Isaiah 48 : 11 . God is not a man that He
will lie , Numbers 23 : 19 .
All
will stand in judgment before God , Hebrew 9 : 27 . Sometimes we get so busy
with living , we forget this is not eternity . We will stand before God and He
will have the last word . He will speak to saints and sinners . To some He will
say "enter in thou good and faithful servant" to others it will be
"depart from Me I never
knew you" . Those words are the final words spoken by a Living God that done all
in His power to draw mankind to Him , by His Son Jesus . In the end He will have
the LAST WORD!!!

DEVOTION
LOVE
The law of love is good and sweet. It is not only borne
lightly and easily, but it also makes bearable the laws which make men into
slaves and hirelings. It does not
destroy them; it fulfills them. As
the Lord says, “I have not come to take away the law but to fulfill it” (Matthew
5:17). It tempers the slave’s
law and makes the hireling’s law orderly.
It lightens both. For there
will never be any love without fear but chaste love. There will never be love without greed
unless it is kept within bounds.
Therefore love fulfills the slave’s law when it overflows in
devotion. It fulfills the
hireling’s law when it sets limits to greed.
Greed is brought to order when love overshadows it and evils
are condemned and what is better is preferred to what is merely good, and the
good desired only for the sake of what is better. When by the grace of God this is fully
achieved, the body is loved, and all the goods of the body for the sake of the
soul, and the goods of the soul for the sake of God, and God for his own
sake.

remember
God sees every tear and why it is shed .

God says "be still" . He will be waiting for you when you feel like you can move
on .
When you are lonely and your friends get too busy to give you a call ,
cheer up God is by your side , just fellowship with Him .
When you think you have tried everything and do not know where to turn , just
turn to the One who has all Wisdom and Knowledge , He has the solution for all
our problems .
When nothing makes sense and that happens over and over , you find yourself
confused or frustrated , let the Peace of God rule in your spirit . He is
in CONTROL!!
If suddenly your out look is brighter and you find traces of hope , look up ,
your spirit has been touched by God .
When things are going well and you have much to be thankful for , remember where
all the blessings came from , the Father of good and perfect Gifts .
When something joyful happens and you are filled with joy and excitement , just

Walk
through a museum and you will see all the orders of animals standing in their
various places and exhibiting themselves with the utmost possible
propriety. Every creature, whether
bird, beast or fish remains in the particular glass case allotted to it. But we know that these are not the
creatures, but only the outward semblances of them. Yet in what do they differ? Certainly in nothing which you could
readily see, for the well-stuffed animal is precisely like what the living I
animal would have been. That eye of
glass even appears to have more brightness in it than the natural eye of the
creature itself. But there is a
secret inward something lacking, which, when it has once departed, you cannot
restore. So in the church of
Christ, many professing believers are not living believers, but stuffed
Christians. They possess all the
externals of religion, and every outward morality that you could desire. They behave with great propriety, they
keep their places, and there is no outward difference between them and the true
believe, except upon the vital point, the life which no power on earth can
possibly confer.

Merciful Lord, it does not surprise me that you forget completely the sins of those who repent. I am not surprised that you remain faithful to those who hate and revile you. The mercy which pours forth from you fills the whole world.
It was
by your mercy that we were created, and by your mercy that you redeemed us by
sending your Son. Your
mercy is the light in which sinners find you and good people come back to
you. Your mercy is
everywhere, even in the depths of hell where you to forgive

Great Is God’s Mercy
Great and merciful is our Lord,
A gracious God is He;
His mercies are new every morning,
They’re there fjord you and me.
So often we fail our Saviour
As onward through life we go
But if we will ask Him for mercy,
Mercy to us He’ll show.
God says He is reach in mercy
And mercy so oft’ we need.
Toward each and all those who fear Him
His mercy is great, indeed.
“Twas according to His mercy
He saved us, made us new;
Since merciful is our Father,
May we
be merciful, too.
Loise Pinkerton Fritz
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is
merciful.

DEVOTION
HOPE
It is the wholesome
precept of our Lord and Master: “He that endureth,” saith he, “unto the end the
same shall be saved” (And everyone will
hate you because of your allegiance to me. But those who endure to the end will
be saved
Matthew 10:22). We must endure and
persevere, in order that, being admitted to the hope of truth and liberty, we
may attain to the truth and liberty itself; for that very fact that we are
Christians is the substance of faith and hope. For we are not following after present
glory, but future, according to what Paul the apostle also warns us, and says,
“We are save by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth,
why doth he hope for? But if we
hope for that which we see not, then do we by patience wait for it”
(Now that we are saved, we eagerly look
forward to this freedom. For if you already have something, you don’t need to
hope for it Romans 8:24). Therefore, waiting and patience are
needful, that we may fulfill that which we have begun to be and may receive that
which we believe and hope for, according to God’s own showing.

What is faith? It is the confident assurance

NOVEMBER Words for Thought
God’s Holiness reveals what is good by consuming what is
evil.
When temp knocks, send Jesus to the door.
The Bible tells us all we need to know so we can do all God’s
wants us to do.
To do the work of God, we must trust God to work through
us.

My
Walk With God
When my busy week has ended
To the country
II will trod
Just to feel the closeness of Him
As I take my
walk with God.
Hand in hand from hill to valley
Sweet the smell
of fresh turned sod
Sweeter still my joy and pleasure
As I take my
walk with God.
Every creature pays Him homage
Trees and
flowers bow and nod
In the presence of their maker
As I take my
walk with God.
Oh the rapture of this moment
Guided by His
staff and rod
Lifted now are all my burdens
As I take my
walk with God.

JUST YOU AND GOD
When I
read this devotional it really hit home, I’m in a similar situation. People I work with are friendly to work
with but their foul-mouthed I really get tired and upset with it. When I read this devotional it helped me
cope with my job a lot easier. Hope
this devotional will help much as it and any one you know out in this same
situation; hope it will help you out and blesses your heart.
Plead my cause, O
Lord, with those who strive with me. —Psalm 35:1

My friend Ron wasn't
having a good week. His new job had thrust him in the midst of some people who
were foul-mouthed, rude, and obnoxious. Ron is one tough guy, but after 2 months
of working in that environment, he wasn't sure he could tolerate any more
ungodly, uncouth behavior.
Ron is by no means
alone. Perhaps you too are in an environment that is not friendly to
godliness—either at work, at home, or elsewhere. If so, what can you do? Here
are some suggestions that may help you survive and even thrive:
Concentrate on God's
goodness and depend on it. Our circumstances do not change the truth that the
Lord is good all the time (Nahum 1:7).
Stay true to your
convictions. Daniel refused to give in when he was surrounded by the ungodly
(Daniel 1).
Immerse yourself in
the Bible. Listen to God in His Word. It will encourage you (Psalm 119:49-50).
Do good for those
who oppose you. Return good for evil (Matthew 5:44).
Trust God to be your
companion. He will never leave you. And He won't forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
When it's just you
and God, that's enough. —JDB
When we
are weak and in despair,
Our mighty God is near;
He'll give us strength
and joy and hope,
And calm our inner fear. —Sper
With God behind you and
His arms beneath you, you can face whatever is before you.

We can never praise God too much.
When you world seems to be falling apart look to Jesus who
holds every thing together.
If you are truly sorry for your sins, you will want to give

What Made Yu So
Special?
What made You so special?
Small Babe on the hay?
The animals felt it,
But they couldn’t say.
Dear Joseph sensed it,
Deep down in his soul,
And vowed to protect You,
From more than the cold.
For she had been told,
But you were so young,
And the story so old.
From countries afar,
Saw You, a Baby
But knew who Your were.
Made angels draw near,
With songs full of joy,
For the whole world to hear.
What makes you so special?
Is that . .
. You are God!
Spiritual Touch
We hear
the statement "we will rid evil" among those who display an evil act . I have
given much thought to this . Those who are saying this means well , but there is
no way you can bomb evil out of people . Evil is a spirit and you can only kill
the vessel , but you cannot kill all the vessels . It is just like sticking a
stick in an ant hill . Ants will scatter and hide in different places , the
stick may kill some but most will run and hide . They are still ants and will
sting when they get a chance .
There is
only One Power that can destroy an evil spirit . That Power is the Holy Spirit
Power of the Living God , not an idol!!! His Power can change a vessel of
evil to a vessel of Divine Love . There are those in Gods Word that experienced
that change . 1 Sam. 10 : 6 the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in
power..you will be changed into a different person...verse 9 God changed Sauls
heart [spirit]...verse 11 when those who had known him asked each other "what is
this that has happened to the son of Kish , Saul" .
Others
who was changed by the Touch of the Holy spirit . Zacchaus Luke 19 : 9...Saul of
Tarsus Act 9 : 6..Roman Proconsul Act 13 : 12...Lydia Act 16 : 14...Philippian
jailer Act 16 : 33 - 34 and many souls down through the ages . Peter became a
man whose very shadow healed Matt. 26 : 74 Act 5 : 15...the restless
demoniac become a quiet disciple Mark 5 : 5..John the Jew becomes an apostle of
Love Luke 9 : 53 - 54 1 John 4 : 7...the woman of Samaria becomes a
witness of Truth John 4 : 17 - 18....Saul the blood thirsty persecutor becomes
Paul the tender hearted brother Act 9 : 1 Act 21 : 13....
These
from Gods Word as well as those in the Body of Christ today , who has been
touched by Gods Divine Power!! That Touch is described in John 3 : 5 - 8 . We do
not become gods , but we do become followers of the Living God , not a religious
idol!!! Those who are changed reflect the Nature of their Divine Father and His
Son Jesus . No human vessel can have the Nature of this Divine Living God until
they have been Touched by His Power , the Holy Spirit .
The Born
Again Child of God , of this Living God is marked by the Divine Nature of their
Living God . A Divine Love that says "love those who hate you" , "forgive 70 x 7
times" , "love those who hate you" , "stand fast in Gods Word the Truth of this
Living God" and more . No human vessel can have this kind of spirit in them
UNTIL they get a Spiritual Touch from the Living God , the Father and His Son
.
A Touch
from the Living God does not make us perfect , nor do we change completely over
night. May I add "you who have lived for God many years and have developed
spiritually , be patience with those "new born babes in Christ" . Many a "babe
in Christ" has been killed spiritually when older Saints failed to have patience
with the growing of the "new ones" . We are changed more and more with each
Touch that we receive from the Power of the Holy Spirit , sent to us by the
Living God . Our minds , emotions and spirit develop with each Touch . The
Spiritual Life after our Spiritual Birth develops as we stay in contact with
Gods Word and His Holy Spirit .
Our flesh
body develops to be full grown as we eat , drink and move about , that takes
years . So each day we find ourselves in the Presence of our Living God and His
Son , eating the Word of God and Drinking the Living Water of the Holy Spirit ,
He is working on our inter man , soul and spirit. He "weeds" out that which
needs "weeded" out and plants all the Father and the Son gives Him to plant in
our soul and spirit .
Bill
Gaither wrote "He Touched Me"!!! [Shackled with a heavy burden , loaded with
guilt and shame . Then the Hand of Jesus [by the Holy Spirit] touched me and I
AM NO LONGER THE SAME!!! Since I met this Savior , since He cleansed and made me
whole , I will ever praise Him and shout it while Eternity rolls!!]
This is a
changed life!!! From Spiritual Death to Spiritual Life!!!
